I recently decided to make a change in my Jiu-Jitsu and find a new home. After getting a list together of possible locations I decided to visit Eduardo Telles’ NineNine Jiu-Jitsu first. Being just a freeway exit away from the house I had hoped it was everything I had heard it was. The class schedule worked better with what I wanted. An hour and a half of 6 pm Jiu-Jitsu got me home with plenty of evening to spare, which I LOVED!
The facility as you can see in the video posted below was nice. They have multiple showers, bathrooms, a hydration station, along with a weight area. The biggest plus side of Nine Nine is the atmosphere. The guys there were incredibly friendly and forthcoming with tips on things I could do better. All this I’m sure stems from Eduardo Telles himself. He has this ability to just make you feel completely welcome, as if you were a distant relative that had come by to visit.
This is definitely a place I would enjoy training at. If you are in search of a place to train in San Diego, do yourself a favor and at least visit this place!
