Being an Instructor

HarrisBann

Hard work truly does pay off. There’s been a couple of things I’ve been wanting to do over the years but just have never been quite in reach due to one thing or another. I’ve just tried to remain patient and just keep moving forward while not harping on the negatives. At times I’ve given up on some goals and focusing on others only to see a discarded goal/interest present itself again.

One such goal was working with kids and young adults. I’ve always had a soft spot for them, specifically those from harsh backgrounds. Mentoring has always been a passion of mine, something I’ve really enjoyed whenever it’s presented itself. The last job I had I worked in a warehouse and supervised staff and college student workers. The highlight of my days were spent working with the students. Getting to know and advise them professionally and personally while watching them grow as young men and women was an incredibly rewarding experience for me. One I truly do cherish and miss being a part of.

So with this new opportunity to help teach the kid’s program at The Harris Academy  I plan on bringing a similar mindset. A passion for the sport that has given me so much and passion for seeing youth flourish. Genuinely excited and can’t wait to start!!

Wish me luck..
